Egypt’s Ministry of Immigration received footage on Friday of a quarrel between an Egyptian passenger and his Moroccan wife against the cabin crew of a Romanian airplane.
According to Ambassador of Egypt to Romania Salah Abdel Maksoud, the wife refused to change her seat besides the emergency door and insisted on placing her bag there, despite warnings from the crew who explained that the placement of the bag could jeopardize passenger safety and violate the flight’s security measures.
Maksoud added that the cabin crew called up the security guards of Henri Coandă International Airport in Bucharest after the wife quarreled with them, forcing the passenger and his wife to leave the plane.

The Egyptian Consul in Romania said that the passenger and his wife departed Romania to Sharm el-Sheikh through the Turkish airlines.
The Consul added that the Egyptian and Moroccan embassy in Romania have been following investigations with the Romanian police and will report to the Minister of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates’ Affairs Nabila Makram with the investigation’s conclusion.
