Egyptian football star Mohamed Salah was voted by fans to be the best player in the world, in an Awards Ceremony presented by “Tik Tok” at the Globe Soccer Awards ceremony.
Salah was honored in a ceremony that was held, Thursday evening, in Dubai.
Salah was keen to attend the Globe Soccer Awards after leaving the Egypt national team camp in Kuwait.
The votes for the star saw him beat other football stars, most notably Karim Benzema, Kevin De Bruyne and Thibaut Courtois.
Real Madrid striker Benzema was crowned the best player of the year from Globe Soccer Awards, beating Salah and Erling Haaland.
Salah won for his team Liverpool the FA Cup, the League Cup and the Community Shield title in 2022.
In addition to these wins, he also has achieved many individual awards.
He was also voted Player of the Year by fans last season, and won the same award from the Football Writers Association.
The Egyptian pharaoh was named Liverpool Player of the Season, and his goal against Manchester City won the Premier League Goal of the Season.
Salah has also received the award for the best playmaker in the Premier League.
Salah broke many records during 2022, most notably the top scorer for an English team in the Champions League, and the fastest hat-trick in the history of the tournament.
Salah has scored 14 goals and made five assists in 21 matches in all competitions this season.
