The organizers of an air show in Idaho reported that two US Navy jetliners collided during an air show.
According to the Associated Press, the marketing director for Silver Wings of Idaho Kim Sykes, said all four crew members from the two aircraft ejected safely.
She noted that the incident occurred off-base, and while she did not witness the collision, she saw the smoke afterward.
Mountain Home Air Force Base said in a social media post that it closed its gates following the incident during the Gunfighter Skies airshow.
Response teams arrived at the scene, and the investigation is ongoing.
Eyewitnesses reported two planes colliding and crashing, and videos posted online showed four parachutes deploying as the two aircraft plummeted to the ground near the base, which is located about 50 miles (80 kilometers) south of Boise.
