Warm winter continues with hot weather across Egypt on Tuesday

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) forecasts that Tuesday’s weather will be cold at night and in the early morning, growing slightly hot to hot during the day across most of the country.

Weather maps warn of occasionally dense fog in areas from northern Egypt to Greater Cairo, northern Upper Egypt, and central Sinai.

This fog may reduce horizontal visibility, especially along the northern coast, the Nile Delta, and the Suez Canal cities.

The EMA urged drivers to exercise caution while driving due to reduced visibility in the morning.

Satellites have detected wind activity that may stir up sand and dust in areas of the northwestern coast, Matrouh desert, and several exposed areas of Lower Egypt and Cairo.

  • Mediterranean Sea conditions: Moderate, with wave heights ranging between 1.5 and 2 meters, and surface winds from the southwest to northwest.
  • Red Sea conditions: Moderate to rough, with wave heights ranging between 2 and 2.5 meters, and surface winds from the southeast.

Expected temperatures for Tuesday:

  • Matrouh: 21C
  • Alexandria: 23C
  • Cairo: 25C
  • Sharm El-Sheikh: 26C
  • Hurghada: 28C
  • Luxor and Aswan: 32C
