The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) expects hot weather on Wednesday during the day in Greater Cairo as well as the governorates of Lower Egypt, the eastern coasts and northern Upper Egypt.
Moderate weather is expected on the western coast, with hot weather in South Sinai and very hot weather in southern Upper Egypt.
Pleasant weather is expected during the night hours in the north of the country, moderate in temperatures in South Sinai and southern Upper Egypt until next Friday.
Maximum temperatures predicted on Wednesday:
- Northern coast: 28C
- Cairo and Lower Egypt: 31C
- Northern Upper Egypt: 33C
- South Sinai: 35C
- Southern Upper Egypt: 41C
Maximum temperatures predicted on Thursday:
- Northern coasts: 29C
- Cairo and Lower Egypt: 31C
- Northern Upper Egypt: 33C
- South Sinai: 36C
- Southern Upper Egypt: 41C
Maximum temperatures predicted on Friday:
- Northwestern coasts: 28C
- Cairo and Lower Egypt: 31C
- Northern Upper Egypt: 33C
- South Sinai: 35C
- Southern Upper Egypt: 41C
The EMA announced that industrial satellites monitored low and medium clouds over the north of the country, extending to Cairo and Giza and reaching the governorates of northern Upper Egypt.
It also expects light and intermittent rain to fall in those areas at a rate of between 20 percent and 40 percent.
Mists are predicted on agricultural roads near water channels leading to the governorates of Cairo and Qalyubiya, as well in Lower Egypt and the Suez canal cities.
