Housing Minister Mostafa Madbouly said in a recent interview with satellite TV channel Al-Kahera Wal Nas that sewage systems in 80 percent of the cities in Egypt need to be improved, adding that this would take some LE100 billion to complete.
“We are talking about a 200,000 kilometer network,” he said, adding that only 15 percent of the villages in Egypt have a sewage system that was only built in the last 15 years.
