Weather to improve from Saturday: EMA

Egyptian Meteorologists expect the weather to improve on Saturday, remaining cold though across Egypt during daylight hours, while mild in southern Upper Egypt, and growing cold by night in all parts of the country.

Temperatures predicted include 19C in Alexandria, 20C in Cairo, 22C in Qena, 22C in Luxor, and 22C in Aswan.

Mist will affect visibility across the country’s northern parts, and northern Upper Egypt.

Low and medium-level clouds are expected to increase in most parts of the country, accompanied by rainfall on the northern coasts.

Winds are expected to be westerly and moderate, being active along the northeastern shores of the country, disrupting maritime navigation there.

Meanwhile, waves in the Mediterranean Sea will moderate to rough, and range between 2 to 2.5 meters in height, with northwesterly surface winds.

Waves in the Red Sea will be moderate and range from 1.5 to 2 meters in height, with northwesterly surface winds.

Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) Head Ahmed Abd al-Aal warned on Monday against a cold wave that began Tuesday and continued until Friday, with rains on Thursday and Friday.
