Where to watch Egypt vs Senegal in the AFCON semi-final

The Egyptian national team faces Senegal at seven pm on Wednesday, at the Grand Stade de Tanger in Morocco, in the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations.

The match will be broadcast on beIN Sports, the Qatari network that holds the rights to broadcast the tournament in North Africa and the Middle East. It can be watched on beIN Sports MAX1.

The match will also be available to watch live on Algerian terrestrial television, which has announced it will broadcast the game.

Egypt qualified for the semi-finals after defeating Ivory Coast 3-2, while Senegal reached the same stage after a 1-0 victory over Mali.

 

Egypt’s Journey in the Africa Cup of Nations

The Egyptian national team began its journey in the group stage of the Africa Cup of Nations with a 2-1 victory over Zimbabwe. They continued their winning streak, securing a 1-0 victory against South Africa in the second group stage match.

Their third group stage match ended in a goalless draw against Angola.

In the Round of 16, Egypt triumphed over Benin with a 3-1 scoreline. In the quarterfinals, they eliminated the defending champions, Ivory Coast, with a 3-2 victory.

The Egyptian national team enters the match against Senegal with its full strength and attacking prowess, as the Pharaohs, led by Liverpool FC star Mohamed Salah, seek revenge against the Lions of Teranga.

The Senegalese national team meanwhile enters the match aiming to confirm their superiority over the Pharaohs and eliminate them from the tournament.

 

Senegal’s Journey

The Lions of Teranga began their Africa Cup of Nations campaign with a 3-0 victory over Botswana in the group stage, before drawing 1-1 with DR Congo.

In the third round, they secured a 3-0 win against Benin, thus qualifying for the Round of 16 where they defeated Sudan 3-1. In the quarter-finals, Senegal narrowly defeated Mali 1-0.
