On Thursday, the Ministry of Education organized a conference on Thursday to launch the Mohamed bin Zayed Award for Best Gulf Teacher in Egypt, where the winner will be awarded LE1 million.
The deputy Minister of Education for Teachers’ Affairs Mohamed Omar announced that for the first time in Egypt, Egyptian teachers will be able to participate in the third edition of the Mohamed bin Zayed Gulf Teacher Award.
During the press conference, Omar said that the prize in this competition amounts to LE1 million, adding that allowing Egypt to participate in it is proof that the newly implemented education system has helped improve the performance of Egyptian teachers.
Education Minister Tarek Shawki and a number of education officials in the UAE attended the conference, which was held at 2:30 pm at the Ministry of Education headquarters amid a large media presence.
