11 dead in major Minya desert road collision

The Ministry of Health and Population announced on Friday that 11 people had been killed and 32 others injured in a major collision between several cars on the Minya-Cairo desert road.

Health Ministry spokesman Khaled Megahed said 15 equipped ambulances were dispatched to transfer the victims to Minya General Hospital and Suzan Mubarak Health Insurance Hospital.

The injuries include cutaneous wounds, bruises, abrasions, limb fractures, suspected spinal fractures, and post-concussion suspicion, he mentioned.
