11 Egyptians charged for selling Sinai properties to Israelis

Suez — The Ismailia Criminal Court will hear testimony on 21 March from 11 defendants accused of selling property in Sharm el-Sheikh’s Coral Beach tourist resort to Israeli nationals. Egyptian law prohibits selling any property in the Sinai Peninsula to foreigners.

According to prosecutors, the defendants traveled twice to the Israeli capital of Tel Aviv in order to conclude the sale. The defendants, however, deny the charges.
