Qasr al-Nil Misdemeanor Court sentenced on Wednesday 16 suspects in absentia for three years in prison for rioting, blocking roads and resisting authorities during the third anniversary of 25 January revolution.
Revolutionary groups had earlier called for staging protests in commemoration of the third anniversary. Clashes broke out between demonstrators and security troops that were in charges of securing British and US embassies.
