Minister of Agriculture Alaa Farouq said that 3.7 million tons of wheat were supplied by local farmers across the nation so far.
The minister’s remarks came Saturday 31/5/2025 during his visit to a wheat storehouse in Menya al-Kamh district in Sharqiya governorate, where he was accompanied by a host of respective officials, including Sharqia Governor Hazem Ashmony, to follow up on the supply of wheat.
The minister pointed out that the state is keen to encourage and support wheat farmers, providing them with all necessary assistance to meet the needs of this strategic commodity.
The state continues to offer all forms of support for the farmers to achieve food security and simplify procedures for farmers and citizens, the minister added.
