The Cairo Criminal Court adjourned on Saturday the retrial of deposed President Hosni Mubarak, his sons Alaa and Gamal, former Interior Minister Habib al-Adly and six former top security deputies to 3 August over inciting the murder of protesters during the 2011 revolution and financial corruption.
The defense of Farid al-Deeb, Mubarak’s lawyer, will be heard in sessions on 3, 4 and 5 August. Prosecution's argument will be heard on 6 August. Testimonies of the suspects will heard of 7 August.
On Saturday, all defendants arrived at the police academy for the retrial session.
Mubarak appeared on a medical stretcher, marking the first appearance after undergoing surgery on his thigh.
Over 800 protesters were killed in a revolution that toppled Mubarak in 2011.
