EGX30 down 1.44% due to attacks in Sinai, loses LE4.41 billion on Monday

The market maintained its downward direction during Monday’s session due attacks in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula killed 33 security personnel on Friday, according to analysts   
 
The EGX30 index plunged 1.44 percent recording 8,648.99 points on a total turnover of LE639 million.
 
Analyst economist Hadi Ageena said that the market saw aggressive selling activities by Egyptian retail investors due to the attacks on the Egyptian military in Sinai.
 
Selling of Egyptian retail investors recorded LE87.67 million.
 
Meanwhile, Foreign and Arab institutions were net buyers recording LE44.81 million and LE30.33 million respectively.
 
The market capitalization lost LE4.41 billion to close at LE490.99 billion compared to LE495.4 billion on Sunday.
