International Monetary Fund (IMF) President Christine Lagarde will attend Egypt’s most-anticipated economic summit in March, an IMF spokesperson said to state-run news agency MENA.
The agency pointed to earlier statements by the IMF’s Middle East director, Christopher Jarvis who said that the IMF was ready to economically support Egypt in any beneficial way.
Egypt plans to unroll its economic and investment plan during the summit scheduled for 13-15 March at the resort city of Sharm el-Sheikh, hoping to attract more foreign investments by offering several opportunities.
