The Trade and Industry Ministry has announced that the total number of Egyptian exports to African countries amounted to US$810 million in the first quarter of 2015.
The ministry said in a report issued for the COMESA -EAC-SADC summit in Sharm el-Sheikh that the exports stood at $3.8 billion in 2014, which was equivalent to 14 percent of the total number of Egyptian exports, against imports of $1.2 billion, which was equivalent to 1.7 percent of the total number of Egyptian imports.
The report pointed out that the total bilateral trade volume in the first quarter of 2015 amounted to $977.2 million.
