Chairman of the Egyptian Meteorologist Authority (EMA) Ahmed Abdel Aal warned of unstable, cold weather from Wednesday until Saturday due to active winds disturbing sands and dusts across northern Egypt, Cairo and north of Upper Egypt, with a growing storm on Thursday and Friday.
He said that the storm would decrease temperatures by four to five degrees, affecting visibility on the roads and disturbing maritime navigation in the Mediterranean Sea
He added that rainfall is expected in the northern coasts, Lower Egypt and Cairo on Saturday, with weather growing cold in the daylight and very cold at night through the entire country.
Abdel Aal asked people, particularly those with allergies, to wear masks and winter garments, avoid standing under trees and drive as slow as possible on the roads.
