The official spokesperson for the Egyptian Armed Forces, Colonel Gharib Abdel-Hafez, announced that the Egyptian army is ready to confront any developments within the region and even beyond it.
Abdel-Hafez said that the armed forces are working side by side with other security agencies to ensure the security of the country and “confront any threats to national security.”
The Egyptian Armed Forces “will not allow any threat to the sovereignty or stability of the state,” the spokesperson said during an interview with the state-owned Akhbar Al-Youm newspaper.
Abdel-Hafez stressed that every step taken by the Egyptian Armed Forces “is carefully and scientifically studied.”
“Egypt faces unprecedented challenges in all strategic directions at the same time, but it will remain safe and secure,” he assured.
Abdel-Hafez added that the Egyptian Armed Forces are an honorable national army that defends its country’s lands through sacrifice and high spirits, but does not attack the lands of others.
The Egyptian Armed Forces and the US forces have conducted joint air exercises over several days at an Egyptian air base, featuring the participation of multi-role fighter aircraft of various models from both sides.
The training included a series of lectures to unify combat concepts and exchange training experiences, in addition to carrying out sorties to drill on attacking enemy targets and defending vital targets, as well as training on refueling in the air.
The exercises demonstrated the high level of professionalism reached by the Air Force fighters, which qualifies them to carry out all tasks assigned to them.
