Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty said Monday that the strategic balance policy adopted by Egypt is meant to expand constructive partnerships with friendly countries.
Abdelatty, in a meeting with representatives of foreign media in Egypt, reviewed the government’s integrated vision to diversify economic activities and increase foreign direct investments in all fields. He underscored promising business opportunities up for grabs by investors.
The top diplomat touched upon many steps taken by Egypt over the past period to upgrade the rights system as part of the comprehensive political reform.
The meeting also took up challenges facing Egypt in light of successive crises in the region. The foreign minister made a detailed explanation of Egypt’s stance regarding pressing regional issues, atop of which are developments in Gaza, Syria, Sudan, and the Horn of Africa.
Abdelatty posted the foreign media representatives on principles of Egypt’s foreign policy, which are based on respect for the sovereignty, unity, and safety of states without interference in their domestic affairs, as well as respect for international law and conventions.
