The Public Prosecution in Cairo ordered on Saturday the detention of three students and two others pending investigation, charged with possessing bladed weapons and fighting inside a school in the Dar el-Salam area.
The prosecution demanded a speedy police investigation into the incident and to inquire about the condition of the injured in preparation for their interrogation.
The emergency operations room received a report stating that a fight broke out inside a school between two parties -a student from the school vs two from the same school and two more from outside.
The fight began with a verbal altercation between the first party and one of the members of the second party, who sought help from two others (not students at the school) and entered the school carrying knives and wooden batons.
They assaulted one of the students and one of the teachers, and then fled the scene.
Security forces moved to the scene of the incident, where they arrested all parties involved in the brawl.
Upon searching them, a knife and three wooden sticks used in the incident were found in the possession of the second party.
When confronted, they admitted to committing the crime. The necessary case was filed, and the suspects were referred to the Public Prosecution, which began its investigations.
