Mohamed Salah sets a record in the English Fantasy Premier League

Egyptian international football star Mohamed Salah achieved an unprecedented record in the English Fantasy Premier League game on Saturday evening following a stellar performance against Southampton in the Premier League 2024-25 season.

Salah led Liverpool to a 3-1 victory over Southampton on Saturday evening in the English Premier League 2024-25 season.

Anfield Road, the home of Salah’s teammates, hosted the Liverpool vs. Southampton match in the 28th round of the English Premier League matches, on Saturday.

Will Smallone scored Southampton’s only goal in the 45+1 minute, while Darwin Nunez equalized in the 51st minute.

Salah added the second goal for the home team in the 54th minute from the penalty spot. The Egyptian Pharaoh concluded Liverpool’s goals in the 88th minute from the penalty spot as well.

The Egyptian winger continues to lead the Premier League scorers’ table with 27 goals. Salah has become the highest scoring player in the Fantasy Premier League game in history with 306 points.

With this achievement, Salah broke his own record with 303 points in the 2017-18 season.

The Egyptian King had previously broken the record of Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez, with 295 points in the 2013-14 season.

Salah needed only 13 points before Liverpool’s match against Southampton, on Saturday, but he achieved 12 points, in addition to three additional points.

He played 36 matches with Liverpool in the 2017-1 season, at a rate of 8.4 points per round in the famous Fantasy game.

As for this season, Salah played only 29 matches, at a rate of 11.4 points per round.
