Grand Egyptian Museum to open soon, Sisi approves date

Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has announced that President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has approved a date for the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM).

In response, the Prime Minister has instructed relevant ministries and authorities to prepare for the event.

He emphasized the need to finalize preparations, which are already in full swing, to ensure the GEM and its surrounding area are fully ready.

The goal is to make the opening a distinguished and honorable event.

Madbouly confirmed that the museum’s opening is being planned as an exceptional event, adding to Egypt’s history of unique national occasions.

The opening is expected to attract prominent official attendees from many countries around the world and will include a number of accompanying activities, the Prime Minister noted.

The GEM is poised to be a global cultural and tourist landmark, showcasing the greatness of Egypt’s ancient civilization and attracting visitors from all corners of the globe.
