Sisi visits Egypt, UAE pavilions at EDEX 2025

CAIRO, Dec 1 (MENA) – President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi Monday inspected Egypt’s pavilion at the 4th edition of Egypt Defense Expo (EDEX 2025) that is taking place at Al Manara International Conferences Center and Egypt’s International Exhibition Center in the New Cairo district, Cairo governorate.

The president was briefed on the pavilions of the Vehicle Administration, the Ministry of Military Production, the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI), and the Arab International Optronics (AIO).

The President also visited the pavilions of the UAE and Jordan.

Earlier in the day, Sisi took part in the opening of IDEX 2025, held at the Egypt International Exhibition and Conference Center.

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production Abdel Maguid Saqr, along with a number of ministers and senior state officials, were also present, Presidential Spokesman Mohamed el Shenawy said.

The defense minister has delivered a speech on the occasion, welcoming the participants.

The exhibition has become a global platform for countries and companies producing armament systems and defense platforms from across the world are keen to attend.

EDEX 2025 showcases the latest advanced technologies.

He added that that this year’s edition of the exhibition takes place amid rapid global complex conflicts witnessed in the region and the world.

Egypt practically voiced commitment to peace at the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Conference, where it gathered nations committed to peace on its soil to unify efforts to stop the war in Gaza and cease the bloodshed, after two years that defied humanitarian logic, Saqr added. (MENA)
