The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) forecasts moderate temperatures during the day on Sunday, the first day of winter, while temperatures will be very cold at night and in the early morning across most of the country.
Weather maps warn of morning fog, which may be dense at times on some roads leading to and from northern Egypt, including Greater Cairo, northern Upper Egypt, and central Sinai.
This fog may reduce horizontal visibility in some areas. There is also a slight chance of light rain in parts of the northwestern coast.
Weather maps also indicate wind activity in parts of Greater Cairo and exposed areas across the country.
Expected temperatures on Sunday:
- Matrouh: 20C
- Cairo, and Alexandria: 22C
- Sharm El-Sheikh and Hurghada: 24C
- Aswan and Luxor: 25C
