Liverpool manager Arne Slot issued a message regarding Mohamed Salah, as he nears his return to the Reds following the conclusion of Egypt’s campaign in the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Egyptian national team failed to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations final and will play Nigeria in the third-place match on Saturday.
Slot said in the press conference on Friday ahead of Saturday’s match against Burnley in the 22nd round of the English Premier League: “I’m delighted he’s coming back to us.”
He added: “Mohamed Salah will play another big game with the Egyptian national team on Saturday, then he’ll be back with us.”
“Salah has been very important to this club and to me personally. I’m happy he’s back with us. Even if we had 15 strikers, I’d still be happy to have him.”
Liverpool currently sit fourth in the Premier League table with 35 points, while Burnley are in 19th place with 13 points.
