FM discusses regional developments with Saudi, Iraqi counterparts, IAEA Chief

CAIRO, April 13 (MENA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs, International cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty held telephone consultations on Monday with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, and Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi, as part of ongoing coordination on regional developments.

The discussions focused on rapidly evolving regional developments following US–Iran talks held in Islamabad on Saturday.

The officials underscored the importance of intensifying efforts to de-escalate tensions, focusing on diplomatic engagement, and advancing negotiations to help contain the crisis and safeguard regional security and stability.

The participants agreed to continue close coordination and consultations in the coming period to reinforce joint efforts aimed at de-escalation and supporting stability across the region. (MENA)
