Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty reaffirmed Cairo’s firm support for Libya’s unity, sovereignty, and stability, stressing the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation across various fields based on the deep historic ties between the two countries.
The minister’s remarks came during a meeting on Saturday with Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
The meeting discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations in a manner that serves mutual interests and meets the aspirations of the Egyptian and Libyan peoples, according to spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry Tamim Khallaf.
The talks also covered regional and international developments, as both sides emphasized the importance of continued coordination in light of ongoing challenges facing the region.
