
The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) forecasts a renewed rise in temperatures on Friday and Saturday as a summer heatwave sweeps the nation.
Temperatures in Cairo are expected to reach 30C during the day, while temperatures in the south will approach 40C.
Early mornings will be slightly cold, growing slightly hot during the day in most areas.
Temperatures
The North Coast will experience moderate temperatures and slightly cold nights from Tuesday until Sunday.
Temperatures in Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt will range between 28-30C, while the North Coast will see temperatures between 22-26C degrees.
For northern Upper Egypt, temperatures will range between 30-33C, while southern Upper Egypt will experience a significant rise, reaching between 32C and 37C.
Mist and wind
Mist is expected in the early morning hours, from 4:00 AM to 9:00 AM, and may be dense at times on some roads leading to and from northern Egypt, including Greater Cairo, the Suez Canal cities, northern Upper Egypt, and central Sinai. Drivers are advised to exercise caution.
Intermittent wind activity is expected from Wednesday to Friday, impacting parts of southern Sinai and northern Upper Egypt.
Winds are also expected to increase on Saturday and Sunday across most of the country.
The EMA has advised the public to follow daily updates due to the rapid changes in weather patterns during the spring season.
It has confirmed that it will continue to monitor the situation and issue necessary warnings as they become available.
