Three children were killed and two women injured on Monday after being hit by a truck as they were crossing the agricultural highway in the village of Sandion, Qalyub area, Qalyubiya Governorate.
The bodies and the injured were taken to Qalyub General Hospital.
The Qalyubia Security Directorate received a report of the incident, and security forces and ambulances rushed to the scene.
Upon investigation, it was found that three children had died instantly, and two women had sustained various injuries after being struck by a truck while crossing the road.
The injured women were transported to the hospital for questioning. A report was filed, and the relevant authorities took over the investigation and ordered that the necessary procedures be taken regarding the incident.
