Egypt’s First Lady celebrates wedding of 1,000 couples

Egypt’s First Lady Entissar al-Sisi on Monday attended the “Farhat Masr” (Egypt’s Joy) event celebrating the weddings of a thousand couples.

The Ministry of Social Solidarity launched an online platform for young men and women to register for marriage as part of the “Facilitating Marriage” initiative.

This initiative provides financial support to vulnerable groups and those living near the poverty line.

Entissar al-Sisi expressed her happiness at participating in the event, writing on her official social media page: “I was delighted to participate in the ‘Egypt’s Joy’ event and share in the joy of a thousand couples as they embark on a new chapter filled with hope and love.”

She added, “All my best wishes for a happy life and a future filled with goodness and stability.”

Entissar al-Sisi thanked the participants in this initiative for their efforts, saying, “A thousand thanks. This is a beautiful initiative, and what brings joy to others certainly brings joy to us.”

In a message to all the young men and women of Egypt, Entissar al-Sisi expressed her happiness at participating in the celebration, saying, “I feel the joy of a mother for her daughter getting married. You are all like my daughters, and I feel even more joy sharing this beautiful moment with you.”

The celebration featured performances by artists Ahmed Saad and Boussy, the Reda Folkloric Dance Troupe, and the National Folkloric Troupe.

At the end of the celebration, Entissar al-Sisi posed for a commemorative photo with the young couples of Egypt to celebrate their marriages.
