225th aid convoy heads for Gaza

The 225th humanitarian aid convoy, titled “Zad al-Ezzah… From Egypt to Gaza,” departed on Wednesday July 1 ,2026 from the Rafah crossing to the Karam Abu Salem crossing, in preparation for delivering aid into the Gaza Strip.

A source said the convoy consists of trucks carrying large quantities of humanitarian relief and food assistance, including food supplies, food baskets, flour, fresh bread, legumes, canned goods, medicines, personal hygiene items, tents, clothing, and petroleum products.

The source added that the trucks are subject to inspection by Israeli authorities before being allowed entry into the Gaza Strip.Earlier in the day, Rafah crossing witnessed the assembly of the 225th batch of aid trucks loaded with humanitarian and food supplies for those affected by the ongoing Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, prior to their departure to the Karam Abu Salem crossing.

A source at the Egyptian Red Crescent confirmed that the shipment includes substantial quantities of food and humanitarian aid, including food items, baskets, flour, fresh bread, legumes, canned goods, medicines, hygiene supplies, tents, clothing, and petroleum products.
