Turkish media outlets on Sunday evening reported on Egyptian star Mohamed Salah’s potential transfer to the Turkish club Beşiktaş during the current summer transfer window.
The Turkish newspaper Milliyet confirmed that Beşiktaş president Serdal Adalı met with Salah’s agent, Ramy Abbas, in Istanbul last week to continue negotiations and finalize the deal on the best possible terms.
The newspaper added that an agreement was reached regarding an annual salary of €12 million for the Egyptian international, a two-year contract, and a five million euro commission for Abbas.
It indicated that Abbas’s demand for a 35 percent commission on the two-year contract had angered Adalı.
After intensive negotiations, Abbas reduced his commission request from €7.5 million to five million.
With this, there are no remaining obstacles to the official completion of Salah’s transfer to Beşiktaş in the current summer transfer window.
Salah is expected to officially sign the new contract with Beşiktaş in the coming days.
Beşiktaş had previously reached an agreement with the Egyptian star on all contract terms.
Salah also held video calls with club president Adalı, head coach Vincenzo Italiano, and director of football Önder Özen, during which he expressed his willingness to come to Istanbul.
Salah left Liverpool FC at the end of last season after spending nine seasons with the Reds.
