Egyptian authorities shut down two ports in Alexandria and al-Dikhila due to bad weather that included high waves and wind, said maritime sources on Friday.
The decision is intended to prevent accidents.
In addition, the Suez-Sokhna road was temporarily closed Thursday after torrential downpour flooded the roads at kilometer 65, about 10km from the Sokhna port.
Several areas of Egypt have witnessed a wave of cold weather and rain since Tuesday, which led to ten deaths.
