A US delegation arrived in Cairo on Wednesday to examine the possibility of lifting the American government's warning to its citizens against visiting Egypt, which has been in place since the 25 January revolution.
The delegation, composed of media professionals and members of American travel agencies, will conduct tours of Egyptian cities to see if the warning notice should be lifted.
Hussein Massoud, Chairman and CEO of EgyptAir Holding Company, said the delegation will assess the security situation in Egypt and provide the US administration with their views on developments in the country.
He added that EgyptAir extended the invitation to the US delegation in order to push for the removal of the warning and restore tourist activity to pre-revolution levels.
