The European aid convoy "Miles of Smiles 4" crossed from Egypt into Gaza via the Rafah border crossing on Monday.
The convoy consists of eight ambulances with six tons of medical supplies and equipment.
Gaber al-Araby, head of the Red Crescent in North Sinai, said the convoy crossed into Gaza after the Egyptian and Palestinian Red Crescents coordinated their efforts.
Miles of Smiles includes 35 activists from Britain, Australia, Bahrain and Egypt. This is the third time it has entered Gaza in the past two years. On 19 June, the Miles of Smiles 3 convoy reached Gaza, and was preceded by two other convoys with the same name.
On 19 July, Israel’s navy intercepted Dignite al-Karama, a French yacht carrying foreign activists seeking to break the Israeli blockade on Gaza, which has been in place since 2007. Israeli authorities deported the activists a day later.
