A member of the Syndicate of Theatrical Professions, Azouz Adel, denied news circulating about the death of the actor Samir Ghanem.
Adel explained in a brief statement to Al-Masry Al-Youm: “All the talk that is said is a rumor, and the condition of Mr Samir is the same. Nothing new.”
Ghanem’s son in law Ramy Radwan announced that Ghanem and his wife Dalal Abdel Aziz had been sent to hospital after contracting the coronavirus.
He wrote on Facebook: “To all my dear followers, I ask you to pray for a speedy recovery to our beloved ones, the most precious, purest, and kindest of people, Samir Ghanem and Dalal Abdel Aziz.”
Egyptian actress Donia Samir Ghanem also broke her silence after her parents were transferred to the intensive care unit, writing a lengthy prayer hoping for their recovery which was shared across social media by various celebrities.
