Administrative court rejects postponing parliamentary elections

The administrative court of the State Council, headed by Justice Yahya Dakrory, dismissed the lawsuit filed by former MP and lawyer Hamdy Fakharany in order to stop the upcoming parliamentary elections for a year because of the deteriorating security situation and the possibility of a civil war, as he put it in the claim.

The security situation in the country is unstable and the terrorist Brotherhood is still practicing violence, Fakharany said. He also referred to the impact of the civil war between armed groups in Libya on Egyptian security.
