The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education in Alexandria, Araby Abu-Zeid, said that the opening of the Fathallah International School for Applied Technology, in Smouha, comes within the framework of the Egypt Manpower Project, which is funded by the United States Agency for International Development, in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Technical Education.

He added that applied technology schools are model schools for technical education that work to apply international standards in teaching and training methods.

The ceremony will be held in the presence of the Deputy Director of the United States Agency for International Development in Egypt, Margaret Sancho.

These schools are based on a partnership between the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, private sector companies and educational institutions, Azu-Zeid explained, in order to upgrade and advance the technical education system in Egypt and prepare qualified graduates to work in the local and international market.

The new school includes several laboratories, including for computer, language, application, bakery, butchery and dry grocery, and a hall for guidance, counseling, vocational training, and entrepreneurship.

Abu-Zeid added that the school classrooms are equipped with smart educational screens to keep pace with applied school technology, and include a hyper simulation model for presentation and marketing training.
