Visiting Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah Tawfiq bin Fawzan al Rabiah decided to lift all the health and procedural restrictions for Egyptian pilgrims.
Speaking during a press conference on Monday at the premises of the Saudi Embassy in Cairo, Rabiah said that this decision came in line with directives issued by Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz al Saud.
The move also falls within the framework of the efforts exerted by the Kingdom to regulate the entry of pilgrims from all countries around the world, he added.
The Saudi minister, meanwhile, expressed gratitude for the warm reception accorded to him and his accompanying delegation.
He also hailed the distinguished and historical relations binding Egypt and Saudi Arabia under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and the Saudi king.
The minister referred to the “Nusuk” application, which enables people to apply for e-visa, book permits for Umrah, Rawdah As Sheerafah, and many other services.
