Antiquities minister: Egyptian Museum received 328 visitors on Friday despite protests

Antiquities minister Mohamed Ibrahim said that the Egyptian Museum received a normal turnout of visitors Friday during the usual working hours of 9 am to 4 pm.

The museum received 328 Egyptian and foreign visitors on Friday, despite the anti-Muslim Brotherhood demonstrations that took place. He noted that the gathering of demonstrators at Tahrir Square was far from the gates of the museum and did not disrupt the movement of visitors.

General Director of the Egyptian Museum Sayed Hassan confirmed that the security condition in the museum is stable and the Tourism and Antiquities Police are doing their job to the fullest, in cooperation with the security of the Antiquities Ministry, in protecting the museum externally and internally.
