CAIRO, Aug 3 (MENA) – Speaker of the Arab Parliament Adel al Assoumi and Palestine’s Permanent Delegate to the Arab League Muhannad al Aklouk have agreed on promoting joint coordination to urge world parliaments to support the Palestinian cause on all international forums.
During their meeting Thursday, both sides also agreed on the need to help Palestine get a permanent UN membership.
It was agreed the Arab Parliament will call on European, African and international parliaments to urge their governments to support and defend the Palestinian cause and recognize the State of Palestine.
Delegations of the Arab Parliament will pay visits to regional and international organizations urging them to back the Palestinian cause and activate investigating committees to punish the Israeli occupation authority over its heinous crimes and atrocities in the Palestinian lands.
They agreed on moves by the Arab Parliament to block Israel’s membership in the African Union.
