Chief of the Egyptian Natural Gas Company (GASCO) Ashraf Zaki said saboteurs planted a bomb at the communication chamber of the al-Mariotteya gas chamber on the Tanash-Dahshour pipeline.
No harm was caused as the chamber is underground, Zaki added. However, other communication chambers were destroyed. Consumers are being provided with the gas through the pipeline daily.
No casualties were reported, according to Zaki. Financial losses will be estimated later after inspecting the site. Security services were notified.
