Burning our offices destroys nation, says leading Brotherhood figure

A leading figure in the Freedom and Justice Party said on Sunday that calls for burning down the Muslim Brotherhood's offices by former MP Mohamed Abu Hamed during a million-man demonstration planned for 24 August would lead to the collapse of the nation.

“Our headquarters in Moqattam are fully secure,” Saber Abul Fotouh said, adding that the young members of the group would secure the rest of the offices without the help of the police.

Abul Fotouh expected no more than 500 people to take part in the demonstration.

Abul Fotouh blamed Abu Hamed and former MP Mostafa Bakry for a fire that burned a portion of the group's Giza office
