CBE announces bank working hours for Ramadan 2025

The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) issued a statement on Tuesday, specifying the working hours of banks during the holy month of Ramadan, the closing time of banks for the public and the end of working hours for bank employees.

CBE set the working hours of banks for employees, to start from nine am until two pm, while customers will be received from 9:30 am until 1:30.

Work hours for employees during Ramadan will be five hours, during official working days from Sunday to Thursday of each week.

The number of working hours to receive customers during the holy month of Ramadan will be four hours, during official working days from Sunday to Thursday of each week.

The National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG) has announced that the first day of Ramadan will fall on Saturday, March 1.

According to NRIAG calculations, Friday, February 28, is the last day of the month of Shaaban. Dar al-Iftaa will observe the crescent moon of the holy month on Friday.
