Meteorologists predict cloudy weather on Monday in the north of Egypt and temperatures to drop by up to seven degrees.
The Egyptian Meteorological Authority anticipates low and medium clouds to continue forming over the north of the country, accompanied by light rain in some areas.
Weather maps show that Egypt will continue to be affected by a depression blocking the sun’s rays. Meteorologists advised citizens to properly close their windows before sleeping in order to not catch a cold.
Hot weather will prevail during the day in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northeastern coasts, and northern Upper Egypt with moderate weather on the northwestern coasts, and very hot weather in South Sinai and southern Upper Egypt.
Cooler weather is expected at night in the north of the country, with moderate weather in South Sinai and southern Upper Egypt.
Rain is predicted on areas of the northern coasts, Lower Egypt, the Western Desert, the Suez Canal Cities, and northern Upper Egypt, which may extend to areas of Greater Cairo at intermittent intervals.
Waves in the Mediterranean Sea will range between one and 1.5 meters in height, with northwestern surface winds.
Maximum temperatures predicted on Monday:
- Northern coasts: 28C
- Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt: 30C
- Northern Upper Egypt: 32C
- South Sinai: 34C
- Southern Upper Egypt: 40C
