Coach reveals further details

During an interview with the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) website, Hossam Hassan said: “We’ll begin our next camp on May 28, as our overseas players will have finished their league seasons, and our local players will join them to prepare for the two matches.”

“We’ll have two tough games against them. African teams are making huge progress as we all saw at the 2023 AFCON, but we are a big team and capable of returning to our natural position [among the top sides],” he added.

“Naturally, everyone was disappointed that we couldn’t be at the 2022 World Cup. We definitely want to make it to the World Cup, and I want to do so with the current generation, which includes some great players. They also want to please their fans, especially since some of them participated in the 2018 edition and saw how important it is,” Hassan added.
