The National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA) has approved additional compensation for fixed internet users affected by the fire that broke out at the Ramses Central Office and has obliged service providers to enforce the decision.
In a statement issued Saturday 19/7/2025, the authority clarified that prepaid fixed internet customers will receive compensation amounting to 50 percent of their basic data package, added as an additional free bundle.
Furthermore, a 30 percent discount will be offered on monthly bill as compensation for the disruption of service.
The NTRA reaffirmed its continued efforts to monitor the quality of services provided to users and its ongoing coordination with telecom companies to ensure uninterrupted service and prevent similar incidents in the future. These actions aim to protect users’ rights and ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
