Egypt National Railways has put a ceiling for tickets sold on a daily basis to passengers, in order to combat resale on the black market.
ENR’s deputy chief Rashad Abdel Atty told Al-Masry Al-Youm that the authority has set four tickets as the permissible ticket sale maximum.
ENR’s chief, Ahmed Hamed, said the authority has also approved a suggestion to have the passenger’s name written on the ticket in another effort to prevent tickets from being sold on the black market.
Hamed said the proposal will be implemented by the Communication and Information Technology Ministry to spare the ENR from expenses.
