‘Decent Live’ dispatches 100 relief trucks carrying 3,000 tons of aid to Gaza

CAIRO, Nov 23 (MENA) – Egypt’s Decent Life initiative foundation Thursday announced the launch of a new humanitarian and relief aid convoy comprising 100 trucks loaded with 3,000 tons of aid, set to be delivered to the Gaza Strip through the Rafah border crossing.

The foundation has managed to send 90 trucks carrying 2,250 tons of humanitarian and relief aid, including food supplies, clothes, medicines, medical supplies, drinking water and blankets to Gaza residents since the beginning of the Israeli offensive in October.

This comes upon the directives of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to offer all forms of relief support to the Palestinian people.

Decent Life foundation is one of Egypt’s top NGOs contributors to the development action.

The foundation had launched an initiative called “From A Human Being to A Human Being” that is aimed at supporting Palestinians by delivering humanitarian and relief aid.

The initiative is based on the participation of children in preparing the shipment under the slogan “From A Child to A Child.” The goal is to raise the awareness of children on the importance of the Palestinian Cause and Egypt’s leading role in supporting it throughout history.

Besides taking part in Egypt’s popular blood donation campaign dedicated to the Palestinian people, the foundation has allocated bank accounts through which Egyptians can donate in order to aid and support the Palestinians amid the ongoing fighting.

The Decent Life initiative is a holistic presidential initiative inaugurated in 2021. It is centered on rural development, encompassing a series of national infrastructure projects with the goal of elevating living standards, improving infrastructure, and providing essential services, including healthcare, in 4,658 villages.
